Pilger die grinding machine CNC 800XB

The 800XB CNC is our 4-axis die grinder designed for large pilger dies.  It includes much of the same characteristics as our 650XB but is designed to handle larger pilger dies. The standard sizes of dies ranges from 220-800mm but on request we can also manufacture a version that can handle pilger dies up to 1200mm.

It operates the same grinding scheme as the smaller 650XB and creates dies by applying the Controlled Natural Parabolic Side Relief (CNPSR) grinding process. The relief characteristics that is created by the CNPSR is even more interesting when very large tubes are to be produced and it creates a minimum of problems related to tube deformation etc.

Large dies means longer grinding cycles. Just as with the smaller 650XB, the 800XB is equipped with automatic grinding wheel dressing cycle including automatic compensation for wheel diameter and cutting speed creating a very efficient machine that will run long unmanned grinding cycles round the clock.
